School’s Out Forever

This post has been months in the making. Well, almost two. I received my degree certificate on the 1st of March which made my graduation official. Yes, I have graduated from the University. But what does that really mean for me?

  1. First, Congratulations!

There are many around the world who would give anything to even attend school, let alone receive an opportunity to immerse themselves in studying something that might improve their lives or the lives of loved ones. Having graduated, I wonder if the more important question(s) for you are:

‘How will I use this degree to make my inner light shine even brighter?’

‘How will I affect this world with what I now know so that I leave it better than I found it?’

‘If having graduated I don’t feel confident this particular degree will enrich my life, is it possible for me to use its credentials to forge my way into another field that speaks more to who I am and who I’ve become?’

My deepest wish for you now that you’ve completed your chosen course of study is that you won’t let the world define YOU. You must define your world, bend it to your will. Make it what you want and need it to be…

Most importantly, LIVE YOUR LIFE each day…as though it were your last day on earth… with that kind of passion you’ll surely look back fifty years from now and be extremely glad you did…

      1. Self analysis can be a good thing in my opinion when it leads us to embracing our truest selves. I’ve just been having a strong feeling of late that there is no better time for being wholly who we know we are… than now. You’ll do fine is my other observation!

      2. It’s good to hear that both as a fellow human being on this planet, and as a black man on this planet. One of the greatest bits of wisdom I’ve ever come across is, ‘step into life continually visualizing yourself having already achieved your absolute highest success. Let the feeling behind this vision lead you to making it become your waking reality…’
